Satsuma is a startup marketing agency based in Leeds, UK, headed by Dirk and Fran, two passionate and hardworking marketing professionals with at least 20 years of combined experience in B2B and B2C marketing in both traditional and digital marketing.

Prior to establishing Satsuma, Dirk and Fran were colleagues at Getech Group plc, a geoscience consultancy group based in Leeds, UK.

Dirk has over 10 years of proven track record in both B2B marketing in the Oil and Gas sector. During his time at Getech, he was instrumental in over 60 high-value sales to more then 20 international oil and gas companies; established improved processes for project planning and management; and increased the brand profile of Getech through conferences, advertising and social media.

He has a Diploma in Project Management from the Chartered Management Institute, M.Sc. in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from the Royal Holloway, University of London. and a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Geology and Applied Geology from the University of Glasgow.

Fran is a multi-lingual marketing professional with a track record in traditional and digital marketing. She has extensive marketing experience, including events management, social media, advertising and client relations. During her time at Getech, she successfully managed and maintained digital marketing campaigns to improve communications with the company’s most valuable clients; increased brand awareness by running advertising campaigns; and was responsible for the planning and organising of activities, workshops and events.

She has a MA in Advertising and Marketing from the Leeds University Business School, a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and  a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Illustration and Promotion from the University of the Creative Arts.
